摘要

In the near future very large wind power plants in the (sub-)Gigawatt range will be connected to the European electricity networks. Smooth integration of these wind farms in the networks represents a major challenge for transmission system operators (TSO's) and the wind industry. Innovative concepts as prediction of wind power plant output, control of power system parameters and flexible infrastructure design contribute to this task. However, integrating these concepts in the development and design process promises improved technical and economical performance of wind power plants and helps to overcome bottlenecks in implementation.
