摘要

Mytilus edulis foot protien-1 (Mefp-1),a highly repetitive proline-rich protein,adheres to a variety of substrates,including wet and biofilm-surfaces.Its unusually strong adhesive and cohesvie properties are at least partly attributable to dihydroxyphenylalanine (DOPA) residues,which can form crosslinks and bond to surfaces.
