Ten years (1980-1990) of systematic measurements of the solar photosynthetically active radiation (PAR, 380-710 nm) coming to the Earth surface, performed at the Meteorological Observatory of the Geographical Department of the Moscow State University, are compared with the results of solving the corresponding radiative transfer equations, got in the Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Russian Academy of Sciences. The results of comparison of these measurements and calculations are satisfactory.
