SOLVENT EXTRACTION STUDIES OF ERBIUM(III) BY 2-ETHYLHEXYLPHOSPHONIC ACID MONO-2-ETHYLHEXYL ESTER (IONQUEST 801) FROM HYDROCHLORIC Acid SOLUTIONS

摘要

In this work the chemical modelling of Er(Ⅲ) extraction from HC1 solutions reproducing processing conditions at high Er(Ⅲ) metal contents (g/dm~3) using a phosphonic acid ester (lonquest 801) dissolved in isoparaffin was carried out. Analysis of the metal distribution showed that Er(Ⅲ) extraction could be explained assuming the formation of metal complexes such as ErL_3(HL)_(3,o). The extraction constants for different ionic strength are given.
