SOME SPANISH EXPERIENCES ON CORROSION RATE MEASUREMENTS

Non-destructive and quantitative techniques to measure corrosion are needed for detecting the deterioration of a structure in its early state, to predict its service life and thus decide the repair systems which have to be applied. This paper summarises five case studies of the corrosion rate, I_(corr), in some Spanish structures, which were measured by the polarisation resistance method, applied through the confinement of the signal technique.
