This paper summarizes the effects of the curing methods on the performance of silica fume concrete, used in prestressed concrete piles. The first curing method used in this research was in accordance with Florida Department of Transportation specifications that required the use of 7 days of moist curing followed by the application of two coats of the curing compounds. The second curing method consisted of the application of the curing compounds in lieu of moist curing. Although the results of the moist cured concrete, generally, indicated better performance than the curing compound method, the numerical values of the test results were not substantially different from each other.
