IMPROVEMENT OF FLOOD PROTECTION IN CZECH REPUBLIC

摘要

The overview of various activities concerning flood defence and flood protection improvements in the Czech Republic is given. Preparation of the new water management legislation and the national strategy of flood protection are essential activities of the state administration. These steps have to be accompanied by the determination/identification of the flood areas along two thirds of the total length of the important Czech watercourses and by the development of an integrated system of flood protection measures in individual catchments.
