A VIEW TO THE LIQUID FEED INDUSTRY IN CENTRAL AMERICA

There is opportunity to grow the liquid feed business in Central America. The high availability of sugarcane molasses brings opportunity for more balanced products, however they have to be cost effective for farmers to use them. Our trial and field experiences demonstrate that it is feasible to use these products and increase profitability in the different cattle systems. However, farmers need to be educated to invest in this technology and it is a slow process.
