摘要

Because hexavalent chromium is even more toxic that the trivalent species, there is much interest in its determination in biological samples. The most commonly used method to determine very small chromium quantities, has been through the reaction between Cr(VI) and diphenylcarbazide, DPCi. Therefore, this work presents the results concerning the electrochemical and spectrophotometric detection coupled to a continuous flow injection analysis system, FIA. The results revealed that Cr(VI) determination by means of UV-VIS spectrophotometry is better because the detection limits were lower as compared to those derived of the electrochemical analysis.
