摘要

A new tension control system is designed to obtain the fast response time and the high precision. The control system has not only a looper height control function but also an inter-stand tension control function. It is also constructed as a non-interactive manner to prevent the interaction between looper angle and strip tension. The computer simulation to verify the performance of the tension control is executed. From the results of the simulation, the tension control can obtain better performance than that of the conventional case at the looper angle response, the maximum unit tension in top of the strip, etc.
