摘要

This paper describes the simulation of the gas flow and heat transfer inside the rotary kiln incinerator of AVR-Chemie in the Netherlands for the incineration of hazardous waste. The study aims at gaining better understanding of the temperature and velocity distribution inside the incinerator and improvement of the incineration performance by means of linking the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) predictions to the actual process control situation.
