A numerical simulation study was conducted for a pressurized spouted fluidized bed coal carbonizer. It was a steady-state model which took account of hydrodynamics of pressurized spouted-fluidized bed, chemical reactions and energy balance. Effects of some operating condition such as bed pressure, air and steam mass flow ratio, bed temperature on compositions in the bed were investigated. According to the calculated results, bed pressure and bed temperature have the key effects on coal semi-gasification. Compared with experimental data which was carried out in a plot equipment, the calculated results fit it well.
