Commercial multiple evaporators VRV air conditioner not only has the advantage of simple pipeline, energy saving, but also has the capability of adjusting mass flow rate of refrigerant according to the change of high rises occurrence, so it is adopted by commercial high rises gradually. To solve the difficulty of allocation for refrigeration capacity and flow amount between the double evaporators, a distributed-parameter model based on two-phase theory for double evaporators is established in this paper. By numerical simulation, the dynamic characteristics are demonstrated. The effect of variable-speed compressor, electronic expansion valves (EEV), air fan on double evaporators, and the coupling relationship between the double evaporators are studied. So this paper lays groundwork for optimum control of multiple evaporators VRV air conditioner.
