Human Environment and Its Engineering Planning Layout in the Yangtze River Basin

摘要

Mr. Deng Xiaoping pointed out when he inspected Shanghai in 1991 that "To develop Pudong is a big issue. It is not only the issue of Pudong itself, but the development of Shanghai. It is the issue of develop Delta of the Yangtze River and the Yangtze River Basin based on Shanghai". The Yangtze River flows from the west to the east in China. There are many tributaries and traffic roads from the north to the south. All these form the integrated economy. Economic development is the foundation of the Human Settlement Projects progress of the Yangtze River Basin. The resources environment is the restrains to the Human Settlement Projects development, The Human Settlement Projects of the Yangtze River has to face the reality to take a developing way which should be suitable to China under this condition.
