Gas relay takes the oil velocity in its installation location as the action criterion, and the gas and oil inflation which affect the oil velocity are caused by the fault fever. This paper researched the fact that flat wave reactor's repeatedly commutation failures cause flat wave reactor gas relay's malfunction, and proposed a transient temperature field simulation method of flat wave reactor under fault. The current situation of flat wave reactor when commutation fails is determined firstly. ANSYS is used to establish the geometric model of flat wave reactor. Normal temperature field is taken as initial value, and fault current is added, then transient temperature field of flat wave reactor under repeatedly commutation failures is calculated. This method can effectively simulate the temperature field of different time from the fault starts, and provide the basis for further calculation of oil velocity and analysis on gas relay operation.
