The basic framework for reactive ancillary services under power market that views the reactive power as a compensatory consumption is investigated in this paper. In the given scenarios the Distributed Generators (DGs) are motivated and utilized as sources of reactive power and optimizing the overall distribution operation which takes into account the costs of reactive power delivery. The case indicated that the model proposed can reduce the loss of the lines and the cost of reactive power and improve the voltage profile in distribution network.
