The fatigue properties and fracture surface appearances of smooth and notched specimens for single crystal Ni-base superalloy CMSX-2 were investigated at 600, 800, 900 and 1050 deg C. The smooth specimens were fractured from internal shrinkage at 600, 800 and 900 deg C, and from specimen surface at 1050 deg C. The notched specimens were fractured form notch root at all test temperatures. The fatigue strength for fracture origin of shrinkage and notch root was analyzed by Murakami's method and is found to become unique.
