摘要

A simulation of fatigue crack propagation under combined mode loading was conducted on the basis of the maximum tangential stress criterion for determining the crack path. The simulation results were compared with the experimental results obtained by using thin-walled tubular specimens made of a medium-carbon steel under combined torsional and axial loading. The effects of a hole, load change and the static mode II loading on the fatigue crack propagation path were successful predicted.
