Recent advances in welding power systems for automated welding

摘要

The introduction of inverter control technology into welding power supply has brought remarkable improvement in function and performance of gas shielded arc welding system, and has played a great part in automated welding. Recent trends in welding power systems in Japan are reviewed from the view point of development of capability in high-speed control of welding current. Various types of current waveform control, and a new high performance in arc welding process using the fuzzy control are described.
