摘要

Spatter generation was varied with welding current and voltage and related directly with metal transfer mode. When welding was performed using mixed gas (80% Ar-20% C02), spatter was generated most in the current range from 230A to 260A, which was transition range from short-circuit transfer mode to spray transfer mode, having unstable welding voltage change. When Ti was added or Si-Mn content was increased in wires, spatter generation was reduced markedly in globular transfer mode. However, the effect of Si-Mn on the reduction of spatter weight was no longer shown when Ti was added simultaneously in the wire. From the fact that wires with Ti contracted short-circuit transfer region while expanding globular transfer region compared to wires without Ti, it is believed that wires with deoxidizers such as Ti, Si and Mn have arc with lower potential gradient than wires without deoxidizers, resulting in stable arc and reduced spatter generation.
