In early 1998 DS&S began an upgarde of the Seabrooke Simulator. North. Atlantic Energy Service Corp. (NAESCO) contracted DS&S in late 1997 to provide its' SimPort Simulation environment and SimPort tools for this upgrade effort. As part of this contract DS&S supplied the SimPort wire tool. This object-oriented relay logic modeling tool has been used extensively to re-create all the relay logic models for the Seabrook Simulator Upgrade project. This paper outlines the use of the Object Oriented SimPort Wire Tool, specifically designed to model equipment control relay logic of Nuclear Power Plants. In addjtion, this paper describes the benefits and values this tool offers as a classroom training and design verification tool.
