It is important to predict accurately slowly varying wave drift forces in order to estimate a maximum tension of mooring tethers. The wave drift force in short crested waves should be predicted in a real sea condition. However, there are many interference components of frequency between not only in same wave direction angle but also different angles in a computational calculation. If the interference between each other direction angles could be neglected, the computation of the wave drift force in multi-directional irregular waves would be easier. In this paper, a consequence of the interference of frequency between different wave angles is investigated by the verified computations. This paper shows time histories of the wave drift force and the tension which the components is not only considered but also neglected, and that the effect of the interference to the total forces or tension is small.
