This experiment aimed to replicate the experiment presented in Oliver et al. (1997), but with the introduction of a test-retest protocol, pressure sensing equipment and an area on the map of the hand that was not present before. The analyses of the data demonstrated the reliability of the assessment tool, with the pressure sensing equipment attenuating the discomfort being experienced by the volunteers, depending upon the grip shape. Also, the additional area affected how the volunteers reported discomfort. Overall, the tools used in this experiment were reliable and valid.
