摘要

Complex hydrogeological conditions exist in the dam site of Xiluodu power station. This paper describes the joint rock masses as equivalent continuum medium and establishes the complete coupled control equations of seepage and elasto-plastic deformation. The coupled analysis of the dam site shows: the seepage field at the site varies during the process of water impoundment of the reservoir, water pressure increases at the head of grottos and so does the seepage discharge on the wall of grottos. In the area of dam foundation, the seepage field calculated by the coupled method is obviously different from the one by the uncoupled method. Besides, the sliding resistance of rock joints decreases, which causes unfavorable effects on the dam safety.
