First partitioning tracer test for DNAPL-characterisation in The Netherlands

Partitioning tracers can be used to characterise Non Aqueous Phase Liquids (NAPLs) like chlorinated solvents within the subsurface. Partitioning tracer tests have been applied in the oil & gas exploration industry to characterise reservoirs for many years, but only recently in the field of remediation. In this study a large scale partitioning tracer test for the estimation of extent and saturation of PCE has been conducted.
