Recent Results on Aggregation Methods for Large-Scale Location Problems

Large-scale location problems may have millions of demand points, particularly when they occur in an urban context. To make the problems tractable, it is common to aggregate the demand points. This aggregation creates model error. We give an overview of our research on demand point aggregation methods to keep the error low.
