Since its inception Rapid Prototyping (RP) has under gone many changes and enhancements in both materials and systems.One of these system enhancements,the Stereolithography (SLA) small beam laser,was developed at Ethicon Endo-Surgery,Inc.(EES) with the assistance of 3-D Systems,Inc.This paper will focus on how Stereolithography is used in the design,development,prototyping and testing of Medical Devices with very small features,requiring high resolution and tight tolerances.
