The presentation relates to an apparatus and method for delivering a rapid setting material or a rapid setting multi-component material through a disposable delivery tube and atomizing the material into a spray pattern of substantially uniform dispersion where the atomization occurs without any contact between the spray apparatus and the rapid setting material thereby preventing clogging of the spray apparatus.(This technology is exclusive given the fact that a common characteristic of all the atomizers that are in use is that in the existing designs the mixed polymeric material makes physical contact with the internal passageways in the spray nozzle assembly.) When spraying is concluded, the spray apparatus does not become clogged due to the fact that the sprayed material has not come in contact with any internal passageway in the spray assembly. The apparatus also provides a precisely controlled spray pattern and a uniform application. Cleaning the spray nozzle after each material application and the need for cleaning solvents are eliminated. Additionally down time is minimized. This makes the subject apparatus and method environmentally friendly and efficient. The subject apparatus and method are applicable to spraying any kind of material but particularly to those that are rapid setting and/or are difficult to clean upon setting.
