Progressive prevalence of Sclerotinia stem rot of rapeseed-mustard in Bharatpur District of Rajasthan

Sporadic incidence of Sclerotinia stem rot of rapeseed - mustard was observed from Bharatpur, Bayana and Deeg sub division of Bharatpur district during 1993-94. Irrigated/water logged area of Bayana and Hindaun area was affected with the disease in teh year 1994-95. Infestation of this disease was recorded upto 10 per cent of Bharatpur, Bayana, Deeg and Hindaun sub division during 1995-96. This year, the crop was also affected with the Sclerotinia stem rot Some of the fields of Nadbai area were affected by this hazardous disease (incidence was around 5-10 per cent).
