摘要

Cabbage (Brassica oleracea var. capitata L.) belongs to cruciferaceae genus Brassica L., which is a major vegetable crop in China. They are attacked by pest insect seriously during growing season. Although chemical insecticides could reduce losses in product, the residual chemicals are harmful to human health and environmental pollution. By means of plant genetic engineering, foreign insects resistance gene can be transferred into plant cell. An expression vector were constructed containing cysteine proteinase inhibitor (OC-I) gene, and the gene was transferred into cabbage by Agrobacterium-mediated transformation method, and transgenic cabbage plants were obtained.
