As SOFC operating temperatures are pushed lower,it is clear that the oxygen electrode properties have the greatest influence on the SOFC performance.Initially composite electrodes were investigated in order to enhance the triple phase boundary area.Due to LSF-20/ceria interactions at the sintering temperature an alternative processing technique was devised.The process was to create a standard LSF-20 half cell,infiltrate the cerium solution and decompose just above the operating temperature.
