A wide range of operating temperatures is required for many applications of lithium ion batteries.High temperature use requires materials of low volatility and vapor pressure,while low temperature use requires materials,or combinations of materials,that melt at low temperatures,or preferably,do no crystallize at all.If not crystalline,the glass transition temperature T_g,should be as low as possible.
