摘要

Aqueous Pb~(2+) has been related to high-temperature Stress Corrosion Cracking (SCO) of nickel-based alloys, but its effect on stainless steels is not clear. This work is focused on the study of the effect of different concentrations of aqueous Pb~(2+) at 180 °C on the SCC of thermally sensitized AISI 304 SS. The corrosion process has been monitored by electrochemical current noise, and specimens have been examined by SEM and analyzed by EDS.
