In the polarization curves,the corrosion potential is at more positive values with deposit showing the noble state of TiN,but this can lead to corrosion between the substrate and the deposit.The cathodic currents are higher with TiN deposit,meaning that an TiO_2 layer is formed (1) and the surface acts as a hydrogen electrode (2):2TiN+4H_2O-> 2TiO_2+N_2+4H_2 [1]Therefore,TiN is not very stable in water.
