Recently, dc power transmission methods have been considered to have a possibility to stabilize electric power systems. Then, it is important to figure out the stability regions and their boundaries in ac/dc power systems based on the analytical method. The authors have studied the stability region and its boundary in an electric power system with dc transmission based on a differential-algebraic equation (DAE). In this paper, transient waveforms related to the stability boundary in the power system &e numerically discussed.
