Screw compressor for transcritical CO_2 applications - updated test results

摘要

After a brief discussion of such aspects of the transcritical CO_2 twin screw compressor design as limitation of the bearing loads, rotors design and provision of the economiser operation the paper presents test results on the compressor efficiency. The isentropic efficiencies of up to 0.63 and the volumetric efficiencies of up to 0.88 were obtained during the transcritical operation. The paper illustrates the dependency of the measured efficiencies on compressor operation parameters.
