C_(60)- and C_(70)-samples were studied by TEM-methods after high pressure-high temperature (HPHT) treatment. A number of distorted fcc-lattices for C_(60)-entities and analogous distorted lattices with doubled a-parameters for C_(70)-entities have been identified. Linear chains of C_(60)-molecules form distorted lattices. The peculiarities of C_(70)-structures have been explained by a two-stage process: dimerisation during the first stage and formation of chains consisting of bound C_(70)-dimers in the second stage of a thermobaric treatment. The elongated geometry of the C_(70)-molecule may be responsible for the different structures formed by compressed C_(60)- and C_(70)-structures.
