A NOVEL METHOD TO ENHANCE SOIL BIOREMEDIATION

摘要

A novel method has been developed and an instrument has been built to determine the optimum environmental conditions for bioremediation in a contaminated soil. This instrument consists of a computer controlled respirometer, a soil sampler-reactor, and software to analyze the data. The optimum water content and the effect of soil conditioner content could be quantitatively determined by this instrument within hours. Without lengthy field tests, this instrument may save on operating costs for a soil bioremediation project.
