New Educational Partnerships - College Credit for Energy Industry Training

Most segments of the US energy have well developed training and education programs that assure a highly trained and qualified workforce. Today as the aging workforce leaves the industry new workers are needed to fill vacancies and in many cases needed to fill new and/or redesigned jobs. Many of these newer jobs have increased technology experience and educational requirements. Experienced workers are also finding that traditional advancement opportunities now require additional educational requirements. Excelsior College already has programs that grant college credit for nuclear navy and commercial nuclear training programs. Recently a program was approved by the Excelsior College Technical Faculty to grant college credit for training in a key segment of the US fossil industry.
