Sealing is a very important process in aluminium anodizing. This study and process is intended to verify the behaviour of the anodic layer, porous layer plus non-porous layer, and barrier layer in: Anodizing 15-20 μm, for aluminium structural work; semi-hard anodizing, 50 μm, and hard anodizing, 100 μm, used in the automobile and textile industries, and electronic and precision mechanics; chemical organic colour anodizing with anilines, 10-20 μm;0 chemical inorganic colour anodizing with tin sulphate, 10-20 μm; sealing by agitation at 90 °C; low-temperature sealing at 70-75 °C; cold sealing with nickel fluoride salts at 25-30 °C; and sealing by evaporation autoclave.
