Thermal spraying is a widespread coating process with various applications in many industry branches. Nowadays thermally sprayed coatings are applied on various substrates like aluminium, plastics and composites. Also spraying on high strength steels used in aircraft industry may generate quenching of steel just under the coating and reduce mechanical properties of steel. To be able to spray successfully on these sensitive materials a in-situ temperature control is most beneficial.
