Case study on development of a quality system to foster the establishment and growth of the durian industry in brunei darussalam

摘要

A quality system has been developed within the durian industry in Brunei Darussalam. This system has been designed to both foster the development of the durian industry in Brunei Darussalam whilst also acting as a model quality system for horticulture in the region. The Durian Quality Plan that has been developed focuses on a total management approach -- commencing with initial site selection through to final product delivery to the customer. The development of the quality system was based on the principles of planning, implementation, monitoring and review, and was a cooperative team effort in every aspect of program design and development.
