Fatty Acid Methyl Ester (FAME) is commonly recognized as biomass diesel fuel (BDF). The chemical structures and compositions of FAMEs are strongly dependent on the fat sources. This chemical difference makes fuel quality different from ordinary (petroleum based) diesel fuel when FAME is blended into the ordinary diesel fuel. This is an experimental study concerning the influence of FAME blending on plugging characteristics of fuel supply system in diesel vehicles at low temperatures.
