The outcome of JCAP2(Japan Clean Air Program 2) Gasoline WG is reported. Three studies were carried out. The first is 'Long Driving Tests', a study of gasoline sulfur effects on fuel consumptions and exhaust emissions from SIDI vehicles under long distance accumulation tests. The second is 'Octane Number Study', a fuel economy study with varying both engine compression ratios and gasoline octane numbers. The third is 'Fuel Matrix Tests', a study of fuel property effects on emissions from J-ULEVs, using test fuels parametrically varying T50, T90 and aromatic contents.
