摘要

A steering effort generator for driving simulator is described in this paper. This steering effort generator is based on an analytical model with the geometry information of steering mechanism, and forces and moments working on a wheel are formulated with direction cosine matrix. Running tests with a kart were carried out in order to evaluate characteristics of developed steering effort generator, and it was shown that the experimental results agree with the steering torque produced by developed steering effort generator.
