Establishment of the Driving Behavior Database and Analysis of the Driving Behavior

It is important to develop the driving assistance system that conforms to the individual driver's characteristics. Timing and ways of the assistances should fit in individual characteristics of unusual driving behavior. In order to analyze the driving behaviors, we have established the driving behavior database, which is accumulated the result of field driving test using equipped test vehicles with an on-board driving recorder and various types of sensors. Using this database, we analyzed driving behaviors for approaching and stopping at the "Stop" sign before some intersections. Minimum velocity near the stop line corresponded to the action in the intersection.
