摘要

The purpose of this study is reduction of particle number concentration from a diesel engine using after-treatment systems. The performance of particle number reduction using low sulfur diesel fuel, an oxidation catalyst and DPF (Diesel Particle Filter) systems were studied. The reduction of particle number concentration over steady state mode using an 8 liter turbocharged and after-cooled diesel engine was evaluated. This paper reports the effects and issues of after-treatment systems for a diesel engine at present.
