Injury reconstruction in a traffic accident using THUMS - 2nd report: the reappearance of the fracture injury

To reproduce occupant's injuries in a traffic accident, it is important to elucidate injury mechanism of occupants in a real traffic accident. The objective of this study is to present the occupant injury reconstruction in a traffic accident using the human whole FE model "THUMS" (Total Human Model for Safety). This report describes the results which tried reappearance of the injuries in car-to-car collision. Comparing the simulation results with the accident data, we found that the injury of occupant was almost predictable.
