摘要

A methodology for predicting the elastic properties of precipitation-hardened alloys has been developed by combining different modeling techniques: CALPHAD method, first-principles calculation, and elasticity models. The proposed procedure has been applied to conventional aluminum cast alloys to result in predicted elastic constants closely correlated with reported values and, therefore, to verify its potential applicability to the development process of high elastic aluminum alloys. As the results of this study, high elastic aluminum alloys could be designed by distributing or precipitating reinforcements having higher stiffness and the properties and microstructure evaluated by experimental method.
