Analysis of near accident related to bicycles considering the motion pictures by drive video recorders and the peripheral situations - Tele-field analysis and Go-to-school circle

摘要

The authors surveyed a lot of data by drive video recorders and found that people in Japan often rode bicycles in very dangerous manners. All the cyclists have their manners to travel and those must be much influenced by their "peripheral situations" such as destination, time, aspects along the route etc. Much information from many Internet web sites such as high resolution aerial photographs, detailed maps, various information in regard with traffic systems, etc. makes it possible to find those peripheral situations. The authors also found a factor called Go-to-school circle induced by the peripheral situations which caused some incidents and accidents related to cyclists.
